We love Yangon street food

We only work with trusted vendors who love seeing new visitors come appreciate their home-style food. These stops are our favourite places to eat – the same places we take our family and friends, serving delicious and authentic eats.

Into the Unknown

Believe us, we know what it's like to arrive in an exotic country, not knowing the food or language and getting cornered into “pointing and picking” at user-friendly eateries. We take the guess work out of eating like a local in Yangon. A good way to begin your visit to Myanmar, we hope to provide you with the necessary know how to eat your way around Myanmar with culinary confidence and maybe even a few phrases.

Our tours have been thoughtfully planned  by Anglo-Burmese Marc Kyaw Kyaw, a chef with almost 10 years of around the world work and travel experience under his belt. Growing up in the UK to a Burmese dad and Scottish mum, those Burmese family get-togethers really whet his appetite for the nation's distinctive cuisine. After setting up home in Yangon in 2011, he's eaten and adventured his way around the city and found the fascinating spots and family run joints so you don't need to waste your time.

Why Choose us?

We believe sharing is caring

Recently the corporate food giants and global fast food chains have begun making their move on Myanmar's untouched food scene. By choosing us you are putting money into the pockets of family run businesses and independent vendors who've been struggling here long before the country opened up to the world.

We also support the myME Project who are working to provide free education to child workers in teashops and restaurants.

Food Paints the Picture

When showing you around we're going to be passing through fascinating neighborhoods with colourful histories and eateries with stories to tell. We believe that food is culture, so on our tours we can't help but to explain the bigger picture: how do Yangon's dishes reflect the people and their history, how has history shaped the dishes.

Vegetarian Friendly

We make sure vegetarians get a true taste of Yangon. Just let us know when booking or buying your ticket of your requirements.

Passionate local tour guide

Each tour is led by a food and fun loving local guide who knows downtown Yangon. Our goal is to make you feel like you've got local friends bringing you to their favourite eats and sharing their excitement about the city.
